Much like the Grand Exchange, the Market is a localized version, allowing players to physically see and buy/sell items that other players have for sale.
These are uncommon, however, because of the ease of use of the Grand Exchange. A market spot is generally purchased from a town owner, and players who visit can right click to buy various items.
